Episode 46 - Lessons from the Will Writing Yogi with Eunice Learmont
Friday Sep 22, 2023
Friday Sep 22, 2023
In this episode I chat with Eunice Learmont about the importance of having a will and a lasting power of attorney (LPA) and what she has learned from her many years of being a will writer and her own personal experiences of losing her father and seeing his wishes weren't carried out as he wanted or expected. Eunice shares her knowledge and wisdom with regards to UK will writing and this episode is one that really everyone should listen to, especially if you don't have a will in place or a lasting power of attorney (LPA) and are assuming things will be taken care of in the way you or your family would want. It certainly made me see things in a different light and to know that sorting out your affairs can be done with sensitivity and warmth. All the information Eunice shares is in relation to the current laws of England and Wales in April 2023 when the recording took place. If you are subject to law in other countries please seek relevant guidance. In this episode I chat with Dr Jane Lewis about the loss of her mum to dementia and how the ancient Hawaiian wisdom of Huna helped her deal with the guilt of making difficult decisions. Practicing the art of Hoʻoponopono during her mum's final months with dementia allowed forgiveness and reconcilliation during this challenging time. We also talk about the importance of finding support, including touch therapy, and acknowledging that grief is a natural process which can bring moments of sadness, joy, frustration and many other emotions.
